Dividing Creek Beer Company
Established in 2021, DCBC is the best of both worlds; we’re small enough to create exciting, small batch experimental brews, but we also have the ability to scale up production through existing relationships to meet the on- and off-premise demands of wholesalers. Our long term goal is to maintain a portfolio consisting of 5 or 6 flagship selections year round augmented with one-offs, seasonal and particular style requests.
Flagship Styles
DCBC Hefeweizen: This traditional southern German Weissebeer (Hefe - Yeast; Weizen - Wheat) is cloudy in appearance due to it being packaged on yeast. Cloves and banana dominate the aroma, and the taste is a heavenly balance of flavors of wheat and clove, followed by a dry, tart finish.
Half Shell Pilsner: Light and crisp, with a mild sweetness from the malts, balanced by a subtle hoppiness at the end. Light mouthfeel.
Hard Shell Kölsch: Lagered ale, traditionally from the Cologne region of Germany. Light Bodied, fresh and crisp.
Northern Neck Ginger Beer: Light, aromatic, and hazy with a strong, zesty ginger bite that quickly gives way to a mild sweetness from the residual sugars. Low in ABV and easy to drink.
Sounds Intimidating IPA: A straight and hop-forward East Coast IPA. Citrusy on the nose, but with sweet accompanying notes and balanced in flavor. Golden in color.
Trotline Amber Lager: Delicate malts with toasty notes. Dark caramel in color, balanced in hops with a dry, crisp finish.
Weathered Hand Mexican Lager: Traditional light lager (pale in color with malty sweetness and a medium to high hop bitterness) with a hint of lime flavor. Product of the USA.
Seasonal Styles
Black Riders Schwarzbier: Our black lager gets its name from the Nazgûl, but don’t `let the name or color frighten you. Our Schwarzbier is surprisingly easy to drink with toasty notes of toffee, roasted coffee, and molasses and a medium-bodied mouthfeel. The one lager to rule them all.
G.F.Y. Russian Warship (Spring): Our red ale is malt-foward and very low in bitterness. Dark amber in color, moderately carbonated, medium-bodied. Also available on Nitro.
Dazzle Day Wheat Sour (Spring/Summer): This medium-bodied sour offers the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness from raspberry on the front-end, which gives way to a tart bitterness at the end. High in flavor, carbonation, and fullness, Dazzle Day still offers a surprisingly easy, crisp drinkability. Available in other flavors.
Pickin’ Time Ale - Gose (Summer): Traditional gose beer with a hint of acidity and spiced with Chesapeake seasoning and coriander.
Oktoberfest (Autumn): This fest beer is true to style with it’s dark amber color and its full mouthfeel. Noble hops balance the toasty malt flavor. If this doesn’t get you in the Oktoberfest spirit, nothing will.
Bubbles Down Stout (Winter): Semi-sweet stout with strong chocolate and coffee notes and a creamy mouthfeel only a Nitro brew can offer. Brewed with local coffee beans. Also available on Nitro.
Stouty’ Stout (Winter): Stout beer with a hint of sweetness and balanced notes of cinnamon and English Toffee. Also available on Nitro.
Allocation-Only Styles (Special Order):
Bent Rod Pub Ale: Our nitrogenated blonde pub ale is light, creamy, and has a mild flavor with a short flare of bitterness at the end.
Edge Case IPA: Bold in its fruity aroma and intensely hopped, Edge Case retains a smoother mouthfeel and intense flavor from start to finish. It’s dank. It’s juicy. It’s hazy. A true-to-style NEIPA.
Fuzzy Fly Brown Ale: Deep caramel in color, with bready notes and a mild bitterness complements and brings forward the caramel and chocolate characters from the malts.
Not to Scale Session IPA: Straightforward, sessionable IPA is the best of all worlds: It retains the hoppiness of a stronger IPA, but a lower ABV allows it to be enjoyed throughout the day.
See What Happens Now Larry IPA: West Coast IPA. Not dank, not juicy. What an IPA should taste like. Sweet on the nose with a very subtle bitterness on the end. Slight citrus flavor.
Serenity Now Bock: Traditional style Bock beer that’s rich and malty with subtle toasty notes, lightly hopped, with a slight sweetness that lingers on the tongue.
Big Tree Fall Hard Seltzer: Effervescent and subtle in black cherry flavor.
Not too sweet, not too bitter. Our seltzer is just right. Also available in other flavors.

Flagship Styles
Bremen’s Harbor Berliner Weisse: Traditional German sour wheat beer, occasionally served with Woodruff or Raspberry syrup. The Champagne of the North.
Escutcheon Stout: A complex American style, sessionable stout. Complex in flavor with hints of chocolate and caramel, surprisingly easy to drink.
Maggie’s Cream Ale: Cream ales are hard to define. They are typically a little bitter, a bit boozy and a smidge fruity. NO CREAM. Weird, right? Great year round and super easy to drink.
Strongbox Golden Ale: Belgian style strong ale with fruity characteristics. Wicked Good.
